Today's brow correction: Client had previous microblading done by another artist too deep and with wrong color. This skin type is NOT a candidate for microblading, and the result was ink that turned black and blown out (migration).

She did not want removal, and I knew that I could fix it by drawing the attention away from the black, blown out strokes with warmer light brown color.

I do most of my microblading corrections with Nano Brows, sometimes with shading, but mostly hairstrokes with the machine.

On the touch up appointment I will adjust the color and the shape.

This is healed Nano Brows. I have better results using hybrid pigments on thick oily skin. For her I used evenflo Hazel, no modifier. I like this color even for blondes who have darker eyebrow hair color. My strokes are small enough and spaced out far enough that there won’t be any strange color changes as can happen with organics. Also important to recognize the skin tone to avoid any purple when using anything permablend for brows. I think their mixes err on the warm side because of the nature of organics healing cold, but Lulu did create a good color mix which is why I like using her colors.

I’m still a fan of the traditional hairstrokes technique of using a small nano needle to create hairlike strokes. I do use a little of the shading technique when creating the hairs, I put more density and saturation in the middle of each stroke and shade out the wisp of the ends.

The level of saturation depends on your hand speed, I jank up my machine quite fast at a 7.7. I prefer to have more control faster. I vary my depth as well. Sometimes I push and sometimes I glide. It’s a meditation for me.
