We decided to go with as our main color line because it’s vegan.
We noticed:
1. The color is creamy and rich in natural oils and emollients.
2. The color did not dry out her coils AT ALL! Hair felt silky, soft, and was more manageable after color application.
3. The color looked true to tone. It’s what expected.
We were very pleased with the results!

What we did: A customized curly cut and style—no color. We cut dry and wet. Dry to preserve length and wet to ensure precision.
Adding the soft bang camouflaged the gray and made it less present. Adding the layers highlighted her dimensions of color.
For styling, we focused on enhancing natural curl definition. We accomplished this by using leave-in, a humidity protecting spray, and humidity protecting curl defining gel.
The overall finish: 💋💋💋
Before we started: We both agreed her curls were carrying more weight than she wanted, leaving the shape feeling heavy.
We discussed possible grey blending sessions. She wanted less time maintaining color in the salon and more time enjoying life.
Students at the Institute get to choose who they would like to announce them on their graduation day. I am TRULY honored to have been chosen to announce so many of our recent graduates.
Graduation day is such a memorable day. From family and friend being there to celebrate, saying goodbye to classmates and educators, to enjoying relationships built throughout the program, it’s an emotional roller coaster.
The best part of being an educator is the student. It’s working with them everyday, getting to know them, and being apart of their learning journey. There’s nothing like it! We are always sad to see them go, but excited all the more for their new journey in hair to begin.
