Come as you are->stay as you grow
I created The Self Love Junkie, to remind people daily of their value, to offer self love tips that have helped me along my journey, and "launch" hacks (little shortcuts), to help you live a life you love!
I donāt think we talk enough about this part of growthā
Outgrowing a friendship, that once meant so much to you.
There wasnāt a fight.
No clear ending.
Just a quiet, gradual realization that something didnāt feel the same anymore.
You were always there to listen, support, and hold space. But, somewhere along the way, you started to notice how you felt, and couldnāt unsee it. So, you chose your peace. Gently, quietly, but intentionally.
And no matter how much time passes,, it still occasionally crosses your mind.
When you see them.
When they pop up online. When memories surface out of nowhere.
Not because you want the friendship back, but because it mattered. Because at one point in time, it meant so much to you.
I think sometimes we expect ourselves to feel instant relief when we walk away from something that isnāt right for us anymore. However, no one really prepares you for the part where you still have to grieve it, which can be extremely painful.
You can know you made the right decision, and still feel the loss. You can choose yourself, and still feel sad about what it revealed.
Two things can be true at once.
And, maybe thatās what healing really looks like. Not forgetting, but understanding why you chose differently this time, and making peace with that decision.

Healing begins when you stop trying to find peace in someone elseās stormš¤
This can feel impossible at first, especially if you were raised in a chaotic environment. You likely learned early on to steady yourself around other peopleās turbulence. This can look like tiptoeing, absorbing, fixing, shrinking, or āwalking on glassā. All, while secretly hoping that if you can calm their winds, youāll finally feel safe yourself.
However, peace doesnāt come from managing someone elseās turmoil. Peace comes from stepping out of the storm entirely, choosing your own ground, and remembering that the safety youāve been searching for is something that can only be built from within.
If youāre ready to step out of the storm, let this be your reminder.

Inner peace doesnāt just happen, itās something we create.
š Feed it with movement and nourishment.
š Protect it with boundaries.
š Return to it daily through stillness, gratitude, gentle connection, and the grace of letting go.

Relationships are hard, but hereās the truthā¦
Change is inevitable, and growth is necessary. Expecting someone else to stay the same, or become someone new, sets everyone up for heartbreak and disappointment.
The healthiest love says, āIāll love you as you grow, and Iāll keep growing too.ā
True love isnāt found in staying the same. True love is found when two souls are brave enough to keep loving, keep healing, and keep rising togetherš¤.
This October, choose to love, trust, believe, focus, and be true to yourself. Because, peace begins when you stop searching outside for whatās already withinš

Someone elseās inability to see your worth, doesnāt take away from it. Read that again.
Weāve all been there, putting energy into people, who donāt appreciate us the way we hoped they would.
But, here are a few truths:
⢠Someoneās lack of appreciation is a reflection of them, not you.
⢠True self confidence, can only be built by you.
⢠Loving yourself enough, means you donāt hand someone else the power to shrink you.
So, today remind yourself of thisāI am worthy, with or without outside validation. Period. End of story.

Let September be your reminder to:
š¼ Pause and breathe.
š¼ Reset when you need to.
š¼ Protect and honor your boundaries.
š¼ Notice something to be grateful for each day.
And if youāre feeling stuck right now, remember this season is only temporary. Your now is not your foreverš.
Which one speaks most to you today?

Maybe youāre already living the moments youāll miss one dayā¦
š The laughter at the dinner table.
š Dancing around the house with your children.
š The small hand reaching for yours, at the most unexpected moment.
š The quiet comfort of an ordinary day.
Slow down, and be present for them. Let yourself notice the beauty while youāre still inside of it, because these are the moments that truly matter.
Whatās one little thing you want to pause and savor today?
