That is when I thought, “Man, if he can help me, imagine who I could help get out of pain if I became a Massage Therapist!” Thus sent me on the journey of becoming a Massage Therapist. In the past almost 20 years, I have taken over 1800 hours of continuing education to assist in helping people get out of pain. I worked in many different environments from franchises to Chiropractors offices to teaching in Massage Schools. One of the biggest problems I see is that massage is seen as a “feel good” thing and not a way to really help the body. And here is the thing, if a tight muscle is the cause of the pain, such as a pinched nerve or a trigger point, massage is the BEST thing to help. And the best massage to get is one that is performed here. Another problem is that massage isn’t really seen as medical, and insurance doesn’t cover it. However, with proper requests and prescriptions from your doctor, you may be able to be reimbursed. We also take HSA and FSA benefits here. It is my firm opinion that massage is just as important for our health and wellness as other health care.
