Back in April, we introduced you to our new visual designer, Aura — and many of you came to know her talent through the work she did for us.

It is with heavy hearts that we share some devastating news. Aura and her family were caught in the path of two back-to-back earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24th, 2026.

Aura and her boyfriend have been missing since the earthquakes hit. Her family and friends have rushed to La Guairá, where the couple was last seen, to search for them — holding onto hope amid one of the hardest-hit areas in the country, where most buildings were completely destroyed.

Those of us who worked with Aura know her as someone who gives so much of herself to others. She cares for her mother. She has earned language certifications and turned around to start a club just to share that knowledge with others. She has built her own small business from the ground up. And she brings real heart and talent to the design work she does for InnoVationV. She is, in every sense, someone who pours herself into the people and things she loves.

These past few days have been heavy for all of us here. We've felt helpless watching from afar, wishing there was more we could do. But there is one thing we can do — and that's stand behind her family right now, in whatever way we're able.

We've set up a way for anyone who wishes to help to do so directly.

If you're able to give, please know that no amount is too small — every bit helps her family as they search for answers and try to hold themselves together during the hardest days of their lives. And if you're not able to give, please keep Aura, her boyfriend, and their families in your thoughts. That matters too.

Alright people, come join us at Augusta Pride at the Exchange Club Fair Grounds! We would love for you to come and participate in our community art project that will be used to raise money at our annual NAMI Walks event in October! Art is a tool that can be used to break down barriers, and allow us to let go of things that are heavy. Our world is very heavy right now, so come and let go with some paint markers!
