Yesterday we said good bye to our oldest dog. Lily was literally the worst dog in the world (IYKYK) but she was our dog. She was also known as Satan, devil dog, stink breath, sewer mouth, rat dog, lily the lunatic and, my personal favorite, LILY!!!!!!!!! She loved us in her own way. She brought me a dead lizard, bird, mouse, squirrel, etc. on more than one occasion. Lily had a good long life and I know she’s happy to be back with her best friends. We will miss her, believe it or not. See you on the other side, ya turd.

And yes, for those of you keeping track, that’s the fourth fu***ng dog we’ve lost in two and a half years.

100 would have looked great on you! Happy birthday, Granma. It’s harder down here without you, but at least the Dodgers don’t suck.

Hope they have good Chardonnay and can play Gin 13 in heaven ❤️

I always have been, and I always will be, so impossibly grateful for you ❤️

Oh, Rosie—it is so unfair that we didn’t get another 10 years with you. I will miss so many things about you, like the way you used to randomly punch my kidney in the middle of the night, how you’d sploot anywhere and everywhere, the fact that you were the softest dog and gave the best kisses. I’ll miss your presents when we got home, your grumpy (but loving) stare, the way ball was life, and how you were always the sweetest dog to everyone you met. You were such a good girl. I’m so grateful I got to be your mom. Thank you for loving Austin the way that you did. I love you so much. Say hi to Ziggy and grandma for me ❤️

My wonderful grandma, Shirley Ann Norby, left this earth early this morning. She was the best grandma, a hell of a lady and the most incredibly loyal Dodgers fan anyone has ever met. I was lucky enough to spend most of my days after school at her magical house on Eureka drive. Grandma’s house is where everything happened but not without her say so. She was the true matriarch of our family, usually holding her post at her spot at the table in the kitchen. And even though she sometimes ruled with an iron fist, she loved being a grandma and had a soft spot for her grandchildren. She taught me how to play cards, occasionally letting me cheat so I would end our marathon after school games. She the kept candy stocked, though sometimes you didn’t know if you were getting candy from the current year (or decade). She gave me unconditional love, her sassiness, her taste for a cheap but yummy white wine, her skin (thank god), and her love for the Dodgers. I am so grateful Austin got to know and love her sweet Gigi. I am also so, so happy to know she’s been reunited with so many wonderful people: my dad, her brother, sister, daughter and many friends, to name a few. She lived a long and happy life and we will miss her dearly. Now, on behalf of Shirl, GO DODGERS! 💙
