Because every head of hair is different, how you place each row can change per client.

This client has very fine, thin hair, but wanted enough fullness to have the look she desired, and still have the ability to wear her hair up without the rows showing.

Row 1-Top Row:
- Sitting on the parietal ridge
- Split into 2 in the back to alleviate tension.
- goes from straight on the sides and scoops into a U under her cow licks at the crown.

Row 2- Bottom Row:
- Sits on the occipital bone
- Is curved upward on the sides and scoops down to the occipital bone for even coverage and for the ability to wear her hair up.

Understanding your clients bone structure and growth patterns is key to a good install.

Hair Extensions should look natural. As Hair Extensions Artists, we should do our best to have our client’s extensions blend with their natural hair as much as possible.
Two ways to do this are:
1. Make the beads you search the root of the clients hair or darker to blend into the shadows.
2. Always make sure the root of the hair extensions match the root of your client.

Proper at home maintenance is so important!
When you get an install we give clear instructions on how to care for your extensions at home to avoid these unfortunate situations. Here are just a few of the instructions we give.

1. Brush your extensions daily from the top of the extensions through to the ends.
- If you have multiple rows you need to lift the top row so you can detangle the bottom rows.

2. When shampooing focus on the scalp. Your scalp is what needs to get clean.

3. Do not ball up your hair as your shampooing keep the hair stretched out.

4. Use conditioner, midshaft ends and brush the conditioner through your extensions to detangle using a or the

5. It is best to let your hair and air dry so you’re not causing too much tension trying to round brush them. But do not let them air dry overnight by sleeping on them wet.

6. If you are blow drying your extensions, go row by row, take sections and be gentle.
