This month's full moon, which appears (if the sky is clear) on June 14, is a super strawberry moon. 🍓🌝 The last full moon of spring is known as the strawberry moon by many first Americans, including Algonquin, Ojibwe, Dakota and Lakota peoples. Why? In June, strawberries ripen and are ready to be gathered.

Supermoons appear larger in the sky because of their close distance to the Earth. While supermoons happen a handful of times a year, it's super "sweet" to have a strawberry supermoon this week.
