Hi friends! I had a follow up appointment with the surgeon yesterday. The appointment went very well and the dr is very optimistic with the results! I’m able to start wearing my brace as needed. Occupational therapy is going well. I’m confident that this surgery was successful and there’s a light at the end of this very long tunnel!
My next dr appointment is at the end of October. Once I get the all clear from my dr I’ll start scheduling clients. I’m hopeful that I will be back to work at the beginning of November. I will be taking it extremely slow, only taking one client a day. I’m not sure how long my schedule will be like this, I’m going to let my wrist decide. I’ll only be booking nail appointments,I’ll add pedicures back in once I see how my wrist does. My plan is to start booking clients who haven’t been coming in while I’ve been out. I will get you all back on my book, I just have to take it easy.

Hi friends! I saw the doctor today and had my first occupational therapy appointment.
The dr is very pleased with how the x-rays look and how I’m healing. I go back to see him in two weeks to access how I’m tolerating therapy. He’s very optimistic about my outcome.
Therapy went very well. The first visit is a lot of measuring and coordination testing to see where I’m at with range of motion and such. I have a lot of work to do, but I’m up for the challenge! My pain level is still pretty low. This is the best that I’ve felt in a long time! I miss you all!

💗 Wrist Surgery Update 💗
Hi friends! Gretchen here with a little update on my wrist surgery and recovery. Thankfully, this recovery has been going so much better than my previous two surgeries, and I’m very grateful for that! 🙏
I have another appointment with my doctor in two weeks, and then I’ll be starting occupational therapy. I know the road to recovery is still going to be a long one, but I’m feeling very optimistic and hopeful that this surgery was finally the fix my wrist needed! 🤞💕

Hi friends! I had my post-op appointment on Monday. I got the big, uncomfortable splint and stitches removed. The incision this time is much bigger because it was a more involved surgery. The dr is happy with the way I’m healing. He decided to keep me in the removable splint for four weeks instead of two. I’ll start occupational therapy in September. Fingers crossed it all goes well and I’ll be back to work.

Hi friends! Surgery went well yesterday. The dr is confident that this procedure stabilized the bone. I started getting feeling back in my arm, trying to stay ahead of the pain. I’ll start rehab in about four weeks. Until then, I’ll be in this beauty. 🤣 I miss you all!
