It’s wild how much lighting can change hair color! 🤯✨ These photos were taken less than 10 seconds apart, yet the color looks completely different depending on the angle and lighting. Same hair, same moment but one reads warmer and more coppery, the other deeper and more dimensional.

A reminder that hair color photos can be SO misleading without consistent lighting! 📸💇‍♀️

Last week marked 7 years since I joined The Style Lounge! Which is super weird because… I’m only 25?! 😂

In these 7 years, I’ve found a home away from home. The Style Lounge is so much more than just a salon. It’s a place where everyone is welcomed, celebrated, and accepted exactly as they are.

It’s a safe space that has allowed my clients to open up to me and, over the years, become such a huge part of my life. I’ve cried with clients, laughed with them, celebrated with them, and sat in silence when there were no words needed.

I’ve watched the light come back into someone’s eyes. I’ve witnessed growth, confidence, strength, and happiness happen over and over again.

I always say I love my job, but it’s so much more than just doing hair. It’s about helping people find the beauty within themselves.

I often hear people say, “It’s just hair.” But it’s truly so much more than that.

It’s a new job. A new school. A breakup. A loss. Finding yourself. An engagement. A new baby. A marriage. A death. A fresh start. A hard season. A celebration. And everything in between.

I love my job because I love my clientele. And I love the space we’ve created where people can feel at home, feel safe, and know they’re always welcome.

My life genuinely would not be the same without The Style Lounge. I’m so grateful for these past 7 years, for every person who has trusted me with their hair and their stories, and for everything this place has given me.

Here’s to year 8! I can’t wait to see where it takes me. 🫶✨
