After contemplating what I could do to continue to support local non profits doing good things in our community I decided to have a different nonprofit that we support each month.

For February I chose the

What does this mean?
We will have a jar available at our store for donations.
We also will donate 10% of our sales the last Friday of the month to the cause. (Fridays are typically our highest sales days a week, that's why I picked it 😉)

We decided to start with LFMA (La Crosse Farmers Market Association) because it's making some big moves for the upcoming season. Closing Pearl St. on Friday evenings for the market. LFMA brings local farmers, makers, bakers and artists right into the heart of downtown so that fresh produce is more easily accessible. Hoping to create that farmers market space where it's the place to be again!

LFMA also is the only market in the area that you can use EBT to get freshly grown local produce at. This money will go directly towards the EBT program and be able to match the transactions with double dollars (up to $10 in money to spend on fresh produce).

The jar will be up starting tomorrow, Feb 5th and will stay up all month long.

Each month going forward we will select a local non profit doing good in our local community to donate to. Have some ideas on who? Drop them below so I can get in contact with them to discuss.
