I have a very special, long awaited announcement... Summertime is HERE!! I know some of you have been waiting almost a year for its return, but for those of you who are new here, Summertime is our amazing, absolutely refreshing, seasonal hibiscus tea! It is truly our saving grace through the brutal summer heat. This fun, flavorful tea is a perfected blend of hibiscus flower, spearmint, and astragalus; which all have great flavor but also so many health benefits! Hibiscus can help lower blood pressure, support cardiovascular health, aid in weight loss (which is also great for the upcoming swimsuit season!!), and provide antioxidants. Spearmint is great at improving working memory, soothing digestive issues like bloating and nausea, and possessing potent antioxidant properties (making it a perfect companion for hibiscus). Finally astragalus is a fun adaptogen herb that's been used in traditional Chinese medicine to boost immunity, reduce fatigue, and manage stress, and even support organ function and recovery! Enjoy cold, preferably on your patio, maybe with a book! We will be sampling Summertime almost all summer at our farmer's markets (schedule coming Thursday) until September/ while supplies last. Most people think that detox teas work solely because of their diuretic properties. That may be true for some teas, but not for ours! We offer 2 levels of detoxifying teas. These teas do act as a diuretic, but that's certainly not all! Our lower "dose" detox tea, Renew AM, is a mildly caffeinated hibiscus dandelion green tea. Those three combined are already amazing for detox, antioxidants, blood pressure, skin health, and so much more. But that's not all! We also incorporated rooibos which is rich in antioxidants, fights inflammation, protects against cell damage, improves heart health, supports blood circulation, aids in lowering blood pressure and managing blood sugar, improves cholesterol levels, supports skin health and even allergy relief. WOW. Oh and licorice root, not only adds a subtle sweetness, but also is anti- viral, digestion aid, and supports liver health! This tea is better served cold.
Flavor notes: Earthy citrus
For a more intense detox look no further than our super-blend (drum roll please....) Puri*Chai! It's truly one of the tastiest teas ever. A perfect blend of milk thistle, cinnamon, burdock, hyssop, dandelion, cardamom, allspice, red clover, star anise, and cloves. It's packed! ALL of these herbs can be helpful for digestion aid, insulin sensitivity, blood sugar management, skin, heart, and liver health, and fighting any type of infections. (Viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic, etc.) As if that wasn't enough, these herbs literally pull toxins from the kidneys and liver, increase function, stimulate bile production, help lymphatic fluids get moving & aid in blood purification. The flavor of Puri*Chai is wonderful, even if you don't like the so-called "chai" from mainstream coffee shops. Perfect mix of warm/sweet but also rich/smooth. This tea is perfect as is, but you can always make a latte out of it!
