The masseter muscle lays over the top of your TMJ (temporomandibular joint). The over use of this area causes enlargement of this muscle and gives a bulky appearance to the face. Injecting this muscle allows for thinning of the jaw line and may assist with headache or joint pain. 15 to 30 units can be injected per side and have results lasting up to 6 months.
