This is the first Christmas 🎄 that I’m not with my oldest Taylor! It’s been tough not seeing him for my bday🎁, then thanksgiving 🦃, now Xmas🎅🏼 and the upcoming new year🎇! We’ve been so fortunate to have had all the previous holidays together in his 30 years, so we’re pretty fortunate! I’m grateful to have Julio with me on this journey and it makes this season more bearable! Yesterday was a great day! I’ve been doing Shipt, a delivery service where you shop for people. So I felt like Santa 🤶🏼delivering packages from Best Buy all day! I talked to my 2 friends who live here and we planned a get together for this week in Santa Barbara, so that’ll be fun!
Sometimes people only measure success in monetary terms. Right now if that was my only metric, I’d feel like a failure. Abundance for me is intangible sometimes and include many things we take for granted in our life! I have food in my belly, a beautiful place to live where I can see the ocean 🌊 from my windows, my boys and I are healthy and strong💪🏼, I’m living my dream of making a life for myself here in Cali which takes bravery, determination and a ton of faith🙏🏽, I have friends here who love me unconditionally and on a deep soul level, I have my sweet pupper Ziggy 🐶 and access to the beach 🏝️ 365 days a week! My life is good and I’ll see my boy and money 💵will flow my way more freely again soon!
Enjoy what you have today, find a way to be grateful, it helps create more to be happy about!

I DID IT!! I got through this last few weeks of long hours and tearful goodbyes!! I’d like to just take a moment and thank all my lovely clients that have supported me, filled my heart, gave me joy and inspiration these last 10 years in Topeka! A hairdresser is so much more that someone who does hair! I create this safe place where my guests feel comfortable sharing their lives with me! I especially loved having a private studio at Sola where we could share our deep conversations and big belly laughs! I’m so grateful for all the hugs, gifts, and wishes of support on my next adventure in San Diego! I will miss you all! I’ll be mostly off this page from now on. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT::

It’s no secret that my plan after moving back to Topeka 10 years ago was to eventually get back to Cali!! The plan was to stay here for 3 years, but life happened and I had some healing to do! I’ve been waiting for a sign, divine timing to unfold and it’s happened!! It just feels right!! Thanks to my friends David Mansour and his partner John!!
My last day in my studio at Sola will be August 26th!! Then I’ll drive out to SD and house/dog sit, work part time and look for a job, and an apartment most of Sept!! Fly back home, pack up, celebrate Taylors 30th bday, then Julio and I will drive to SD to start our new life!
Topeka has always been a soft place to land for me and this last time I’ve healed some deep wounds and grown so much! I’m ready to focus on my art, make new friends and step into the next phase of my life with a full heart and much gratitude to all the people that have been there to support me this last 10 years! I love an adventure!!
For my beloved clients💗 that leaves us a short 8 weeks to see everyone 1 or 2 more times! I have 3 stylists that I will recommend moving forward. I’m going to open my books and work Tuesdays if needed to accommodate everyone! I’ve developed some amazing relationships with you, especially in the privacy and sanctuary of my studio!! I treasure our journey together!! Please help me spread the word by sharing this post with mutual friends!
