Sensory Sunday is coming up! 💙

Our next Sensory Sunday is September 13th, and appointments are now available!

Sensory Sunday was created to provide a calmer, more comfortable haircut experience for individuals with sensory needs. The salon is closed to the public and appointments are scheduled for a full hour, allowing us to slow things down and meet each guest where they are.

I’m back from vacation and now that I’ve had a moment to breathe and get back to the day to day, I just want to take a minute to say how incredibly thankful I am.

I was gone for three weeks and my entire staff stepped up in ways that made me so extremely proud. From keeping the salon clean and organized to making sure our clients were taken care of and everything continued running smoothly. There were a couple of hiccups in full transparency but that’s going to happen in the day-to-day of any business. I came home feeling incredibly proud of the women in this salon and even more confident in the vision and culture I’ve worked so hard to create.

A very special THANK YOU to my sister, Abby Finck. 💗 She stepped up in a big way and essentially took on my role while I was gone. For three weeks, there was never a moment when I felt like I needed to worry about what was happening back home. As a business owner, being able to truly step away and trust that everything is being taken care of is something I don’t take for granted. This trip was a once in a lifetime opportunity and possibly our last family vacation of four for the foreseeable future as my son is joining the Army immediately after graduation. I can’t express how grateful I was to be fully present with my family.

Being a sole owner for the last four months has taught me more than I could probably put into one post. I’ve learned a lot about leadership, trust, letting go of control, and realizing that building the right team means you don’t have to carry everything alone. I’m happy with the morale, the incredible women who work here, how they support one another, how they continue to grow and how much they care about the people who walk through our doors.

And while I was away, we received another pretty amazing reminder of just how much our community supports us. 🥹

Let’s talk spray tan aftercare + why a self-tanning mousse is your BEST friend while traveling!

We were officially 15 days into our trip in this photo, so I figured this was the perfect real-life example of just how much aftercare matters when it comes to maintaining your glow.

My original spray tan made it all the way to Day 13 🙌🏼 and honestly, I was impressed!

On Day 14, I used the hot tub basically as a sauna 😅 Between the heat, soaking, sweating, and then giving myself a good exfoliation, I removed most of what was left of my spray tan.

And this is exactly why I always recommend having a good self-tanning mousse on hand!

I’m currently using MineTan Wonder Tan Self Tan Mousse to refresh my color and keep my glow going for the rest of our trip. Pss.. this is also a shade in our express spray tan line and my personal favorite! 😍

Self-tanning mousse is perfect for:
• Extending your glow between spray tan appointments
• Touching up areas that fade faster
• Refreshing your color after exfoliating
• Maintaining your tan while traveling
• Giving you control over how light or deep you want your color

The biggest takeaway? Your spray tan doesn’t end when you leave the salon. Proper aftercare makes ALL the difference in how long it lasts and how beautifully it fades.

Hydrate. Moisturize. Avoid unnecessary soaking. Be gentle with your skin. And when it’s finally time to exfoliate that old tan away, a good self-tanner can get you glowing again until your next professional spray tan. ☀️
