The other week during a scroll through Facebook land, I came across a post in a local hairstyling group that a few others were putting on a Love Is In The Hair fundraiser for Children’s Mercy. I knew instantly I was participating. It was asked that participating stylists and salons donate 5% of their services between Feb 9-Feb 14. I’ve already made my donation for that timeframe and also extended it to include the percentage for January as well.

For the remaining part of February, I will also collect upon request more donations should you want to also contribute and send those on Feb 28th or you can donate directly via the link below.

Some of you may know, my niece Hazel, as well as a few other littles I’ve met over the years have all been helped immensely by the care and support that Childrens Mercy provides. I have mad respect for the research staff, doctors, nurses, and all of the people that work together to provide top level care for children and their families going through some of the hardest moments imaginable.

Kelli first came to me because she was struggling to maintain her curls and she did not know what to do with them.

Back in May, we started with the right cut, went over routines and how to care for her curls, and got her the right at home hair care products so she could continue over the months to work with her hair at home to get it healthier.

Now her curls are bouncing up more, are better defined, and not sitting as flat to her scalp. They truly not only look healthier, but also feel so much healthier.
