Want your spray tan to stay even, glowy + looking fresh for as long as possible? Your at-home routine will determine this!

Once your tan has fully developed and you’ve taken that first rinse, a little TLC can make a big difference in how it fades.

The goal isn’t to make your spray tan last forever. It’s to help it fade gradually and evenly so you can enjoy that glow for as long as possible.

Keep your skin hydrated daily with a gentle, mineral oil-free moisturizer and use a mild, sulfate-free body wash in the shower. When drying off, pat your skin instead of aggressively rubbing with your towel.

And while your tan is going strong, try to avoid exfoliating, scrubs, loofahs, shaving more than necessary, super-hot/long showers, and products containing oils or harsh ingredients that can cause your color to fade faster or unevenly.

Chlorine, salt water, lots of sweating, and long days in the water can also shorten the life of a spray tan - something to keep in mind during your South Bay beach & pool days!

And remember: your sunless tan gives you color, not sun protection, so SPF is still a must!

Why are we using an LED light during your lash extension appointment?

LED lash extensions use a specially formulated adhesive that’s cured with a quick flash of LED light as each extension is applied. Instead of waiting for traditional lash adhesive to cure gradually, the bond is set almost immediately.

So, does that mean better retention?

It can! Because the adhesive cures right away, the bond isn’t as dependent on things like room humidity and temperature, which can help create more consistent retention. 

BUT your natural lash cycle and aftercare still play a big role in how long your extensions last.

We love this method because it gives us more control over the adhesive bond, less dependence on our environment, and beautiful, consistent results!

The length of your hair is super important when it comes to sugaring hair removal. You want to aim for about a 1/2 inch of growth, or roughly the length of a grain of rice.

That gives the sugar enough hair to grip so we can remove it from the root instead of struggling with hairs that are simply too short.

👀What if you shaved last week? Don’t panic! You’ll likely just need to give it a little more time to grow before your appointment. For many people, waiting around 2 weeks after shaving is a good starting point, although everyone’s hair grows at a different rate.

When in doubt, let it grow longer rather than trimming it yourself!

And once you start sugaring, resist the urge to shave between appointments. Staying consistent with your Brazilian sugaring every 3-4 weeks helps us work with your natural hair growth cycles and can lead to softer, finer, more sparse-looking regrowth over time.
