Sadly, Tresses Salon will be closing its doors. I’m so grateful for all the memories, growth, and clients I was able to connect with there 🫶🏽 you can still visit me at Tresses untill the end of the month.

“What’s going to be trendy for hair this year?”

 2025 was the year of the sleek bob, bold coppers, and bright blonde transformations, and all the ’90s inspired hair.

But 2026 already feels different.

The focus is shifting away from big statement hair and moving towards elevated minimalism that feels easier, more intentional, and actually fits your life. Moving away from messy, air-dried textures toward polished, healthy-looking, and intentional styles. 

These are the hair trends I think we’re going to see everywhere this year 👇

✨ The Bixie & Pixie 2.0: Short hair is trending with "statement shapes." The Bixie (bob-pixie hybrid) and a softer, more wearable Pixie 2.0 offer versatility and structure.

✨️Ultra-Long Hair: In contrast to short chops, waist-length, healthy-looking hair with "long, bouncy layers" is a major trend for those keeping their length.

✨ "Lavish" Brunettes: Dark, expensive-looking shades like Mocha Mousse, Espresso, and Candlelit Brunette are replacing high-contrast highlights.

✨️Soft Gold & Pearl Blondes: Icy platinum is out. Trending blondes are either warm, wheaty gold (sun-kissed and natural) or matte Pearl Blonde (muted grey-ash).

✨ Healthy Hair Focus: "Hair health is the new luxury." Salon-level glossing treatments and moisture-rich products are essential to achieve the year’s high-shine "Liquid Hair" finish.

Although I love to do all different types of trendy hair colors and styles, If you've been my client for a while, then you know that I am all about the health of the hair over any trendy color. A lot of times less is more when it comes to having healthy beautiful hair. ✨️Many times it starts with taking care of your scalp. So if you haven't gotten a scalp exfoliating treatment before, I highly recommend starting there. It's the perfect time of year for a Scalp treatment!
