Starting this week, I’ll be back in the salon at QT Nails every Monday for the next little while

I’m really looking forward to being behind the table again, catching up with everyone, and creating some beautiful sets. Mondays are officially back!

As some of you all know we’ve been kind of openly working on a new adventure. It’s been busy and hectic and Quyen and I have been putting in even more work over the last weeks trying to bring one of our favorite things to the Traverse City Community that we feel is really lacking.

When we first started the CuTea Boba we always wanted to incorporate food, but we never had the opportunity pop up and instead of waiting we chose to take the jump and not include food due to restrictions and lack of availability in spaces we could find.

Finally we have some news on this front. We’ve been working on a new space on the East side of town just opposite the Dennos Museum on Munson’s Ave a couple units down from Mad Mike's in the old 7-11 on Munson Ave at 124 Cochlin St.

We are so excited to be able to offer some Vietnamese street food with a Hanoi’s flair of unique spices and flavor. We will keep it under the CuTea Boba brand, but our east side will have both boba and an amazing limited Hanoian Street Food menu. Quyen and I are really focusing on keeping it a limited but flavorful menu. We’re still finalizing the menu and working on SOP’s for the new space, but we are so close to wrapping up the preparations for this space to open.

Friends from QT Nails and QT Travel please continue to be patient with me while I finalize these things. We didn’t totally plan on this happening, but an oppertunity came and we had to jump quickly to make this work.

Hood work and Fire Supression repairs and maintenance are happening today and the Health Department inspection is next Tuesday. We can’t wait to share some of our favorite dishes with everyone. Some of you have had some of the food at Austin’s Birthdays or here and there. We’re fully committed to keeping these dishes authentic and accurate flavors and textures.

We will be keeping a pretty small menu with a few awesome staple items and then a rotating list of dishes quarterly and then weekend specials as well.

For those who have taken the time to read this far we WILL be bringing in 2 protein types of Phở on the weekends for now as we won’t be skimping on the broth. We have an 8hr prep time for our Beef brisket Phở (Phở Bò Chín) and Chicken Phở (Phở Ga).

Merry Christmas everyone. The CuTeam will be taking an extra day off this Christmas. We will be open on Friday 12-26 at our normal hours. Thank you all for supporting us in this ever changing tough market.
