Ventured out today and found a small fresh cut flower stand on the NW side of Long Lake, there are so many other goodies they sell like cherries, zucchini, dish scrubbies, crochet hats and coasters, jams, and other things too! We got a little of everything!

My son loves strawberry shortcake so he wanted to test the culinary skills to create his own “cherry shortcake” and it didn’t disappoint! 🍒

Did something way out of my comfort zone and met with someone from FB marketplace for a long sought after Lego set from my husband’s childhood, like from when he was 7 or 8!

I’ll be taking a much-needed mental health break from July 20 through August 20th. Northern Nail Polish will remain open for online orders during that time, but processing will be paused or significantly delayed, so packages may not arrive until September 2026.

I am the only owner, maker, and day-to-day operator behind Northern Nail Polish. My family helps when things get especially busy, and lately that has been happening much more often, even outside of the holiday season. I am so grateful for the growth and support, but I also need to figure out how to make running this handmade business more sustainable for myself and my family.

When I return, I’ll be considering some changes. That may mean fewer wholesale locations, adjusted online prices, a bigger focus on craft shows, or possibly selling online only. Nothing has been decided yet. I just know I need time to rest, breathe, and think about what comes next.

The garden has been loving all the rain storms this week, and so have I. Lettuce, snap peas, broccoli, beets, basil, kale, green onions, a Cajun bell pepper, and a few little tomatoes was the harvest of the day. Feeling grateful and wishing everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend
