Construction continues at 109 South Union, but they are getting closer to completion! Robertson’s has remained open throughout the construction and we would like to thank all of our clients for putting up with all that goes along with remodeling. All and all, it hasn’t been a bad experience for those of us in the shop.
We are looking for a full or part time barber or cosmetologist to join our team. Must have knowledge in cutting men’s hair. Stop in the shop and ask for Roger.
It’s been a beautiful Spring and and the road improvements are coming along as planned. Let’s get ready for summer!

Robertson’s Hair Center in downtown Traverse City, Michigan is looking for motivated, full and part time barbers or cosmetologists, with experience in men’s hair cutting. If interested in joining an established barber shop since the early 1900’s, call Roger at 231-631-9607 after 7:00 pm, Wednesdays through Saturday or anytime, Sundays thru Tuesday. Traverse City has been growing and changing for some time now. Numerous new businesses and round-a-bouts! Change is inevitable through the changing seasons and years.
This past winter, the Old Masonic Temple, on Front & Union was sold. The new owners have been doing a major renovation since January, both inside and out. Unfortunately, it meant the closing of our two chair barber shop on the second floor, effective this Wednesday. O’Hair has been there for over thirty years, so we are understandably sad to see it close.
But on a positive note, ROBERTSON’S HAIR CENTER (established nearly 120 years ago) will remain open throughout the construction and beyond. Please excuse the outside mess and upon entering the building. It will be over soon. Thank you to our loyal clients who have stuck with us, so far. We look forward to seeing you soon. Thanks for choosing Robertson’s. 💈
