lets break this transformation down📝

⭐️last picture - client after coloring hair all over with almost black box dye
⭐️second the last pic - clients hair after box dye began to fade & her natural roots started to show
⭐️client goal - match color to natural grow out with a blended balayage feel and brighter around the face.

•MY APPROACH•
1. strip as much color pigment as I can out of the hair or at least to a level lighter than her natural (result as shown in photo #2) VERY SCARY
2. Treat with during the entire process
3. Begin the correction process by eliminating orange tones and matching her natural grow out while adding in foils to create lived-in dimension

In her inspiration pictures, the dimension was a lot brighter, but after discussion we decided to baby step brightening up her lighter pieces as we were worried her hair could not handle it. (thank god for K18)

To someone who doesn’t know the process, you may look at this and not noticed how much work actually went in to correcting her color so that she can be LOW MAINTENANCE !!!

Now this beautiful girl can go months and months without visiting the salon. She can go about her life without worrying about her hair growing out and creating a harsh line at the roots. She can LIVE without stress of constant coloring!!

Is it just me or does my hair always look the best on days when i’m not doing anything?

My messy buns look the best when i’m just “tossing it up” to lay on the couch with no effort.

My curls look the best when i’m prepping my hair the night before, when let’s be honest, I wake up a mess and it never works out anyway.

My hair is perfectly in tack the day before an event so i decide not to wash it just to get ready for the event to realize… I probably should’ve washed it.

It’s never ending!!!!

I’ve always said what sets you apart from other stylist isn’t your talent. There are so many incredible talents in this industry.

What really sets you apart is your ability to build a relationship with the person sitting in your chair.

My favorite part, and the most rewarding part, of becoming a salon suite owner is how personal and intimate each experience has been with my clients.

It has made it so much easier and fun to chat it up like besties or that much more quiet and laid back to relax. Regardless of your preferred appointment experience, you get to choose and feel comfortable doing so.
