To listen to the stories of our patients. Take the time. Pay attention. Listen for trends.
Do we need to advocate? Do we need to refer? How can I best support the person in front of me?
This is why I love what I do and am grateful for the time I get to spend one on one with my patients.
💛March is endometriosis awareness month. So many women are gaslit and struggle to find someone to actually listen. We can all do better 🙏

💪 Recovery tips…
Who’s in perimenopause, training for something and feeling pain?
Strained my hamstring during a 1/2 marathon 🏃♀️ training run last week 😩
As a Physical Therapist I luckily knew what to do right from the start for all things mobility and strength work to do or avoid
That’s not enough especially these days, so here are my other go-tos
~ extra protein
~ omega-3 (love the green omega YL has!)
~ creatine (look at the research ladies!)
~ amino acids ( amino wise has been a part of my recovery for workouts for years)
~ hydration + electrolytes
~ plant based pain management (thank you cool azul pain cream 🙏)
This is not without all the lifestyle musts like quality sleep, monitoring HRV, prioritizing food that is meaningful and gut health

It’s necessary for your gut health.
Evidence suggests we should chew ~40x/bite especially with harder foods.
Remember, your stomach doesn’t have 🦷 so you have to start somewhere else for improved absorption through the system!!
Sight, smell and chewing triggers the brain and those important digestive enzymes to flow.
Slowing down and enjoying what is in front of you can truly impact your health 💚
