🍲 Homemade Chicken Bone Broth: A Wellness Staple
I tend to enjoy bone broth more during the colder months, but honestly, the benefits make it worth having on hand all year long.
This batch simmered low and slow for nearly 20 hours using roasted poultry bones, vegetables, herbs, turmeric, and a splash of apple cider vinegar to create a rich, flavorful broth packed with protein, collagen, minerals, and amino acids.
Once cooled, I portion it into 8-ounce silicone Souper Cubes® and freeze it so I always have some ready to go. I use it for sipping, soups, sauces, cooking grains, and adding a little extra nourishment to everyday meals.
One of the signs of a great batch? When it cools and becomes thick and gelatinous—what I like to call “liquid gold.”

🍊 My Freezer-Friendly Anti-Inflammatory & Immune Support Drink 🍊
One of my favorite wellness habits is making a large batch of this nourishing concentrate and freezing it into cubes so it’s always ready when I need it.
Made with fresh ginger, turmeric, lemon, orange, cinnamon, and raw honey, this simple recipe has become a staple in my home. I wash and chop everything, leaving the skins on, bring it to a rapid boil, let it steep, blend it, strain it, and freeze it into cubes for easy use.
🧊 Small cubes are perfect for individual 30 oz water bottles.
🧊 Large 2-inch cubes work great in a glass, mason jar, or half-gallon pitcher that can then be poured into multiple bottles.
The best part? You control the strength. Add more water for a lighter flavor or less water for a more concentrated drink.
☀️ Enjoy it cold over ice during warmer months.
🍵 Add hot water for a comforting drink during colder weather.
🌶️ I personally add a little black pepper or cayenne pepper to individual servings since some people don’t tolerate pepper well. It’s completely optional, but can help support turmeric absorption.
❄️ Wellness Prep Tip: I usually make enough cubes to last about two months. Having a freezer stocked with wellness cubes makes healthy choices easy, even on the busiest days.
There’s no exact recipe here—just measure with your heart and adjust the ingredients to your taste.
Sometimes wellness isn’t about doing more. It’s about making healthy choices easier and creating simple habits you can actually maintain.
