Wanted to give a salon update—
I have found a place to rent in Trussville; thank you Jesus! I get the keys soon as I wanted to give time for the current tenant to move out so I can move in.

✨I plan to return 9/9 part time and work my way back to full time.
With that being said, go ahead and spam me with all your appt requests & I will start booking them next week!

✨Salon update!

I still do not have a return date set just yet.

Our Marcy girl is in the NICU, & all my focus is on her & getting her home before I commit to setting a date!

Thank you to everyone that has checked on us since last Tuesday, sent a meal, sent prayers, they are felt & heard. My days are running together & are spend from morning to night at the hospital. I have had so many texts & calls & I know I haven’t replied to them all— I’m trying!

Our girl is progressing everyday! Pray specifically for her oxygen to stay up & we can come home soon! 🤍

✨️I am still look for a place to relocate the salon. My building is being torn down & have plans to build a Publix, because that's exactly what hwy 11 needs even though we have 2 publix within 10 minutes of my location.
I have built my business around being able to provide an intimate setting where all my guests can come and feel safe & comfortable without the chaos of a typical salon setting.
Trussville is a central location for my entire in-state clientele, they range from Blountsville to Chelsea. Unfortunately for me, Trussville has become very proud of their rentals & it is almost impossible to be a single tenant & be able to afford these current rent prices.
✨️Let me just break down what I've looked at within the City of Trussville-
•900 sqft house: $2250/mo
•3,000 sqft space $4k/mo
•800 sqft (not updated since early 00s) $1950/mo
•850 sqft space $2k/mo
•Cracker box at $1,400/mo
•🚨The real kicker.. 763 sqft space in TED: $22,890/mo+$6 NNN. You read that right, almost $23k per month with a triple net lease.
✨️There has only been 2 salon spaces with private suites available & both will not let me plumb my own shampoo bowl. I do a spa service & have to have my own bowl.
Most people who are close to me know why I do not want to deal with the typical salon setting. I have been burned so badly by poor management & taken advantage of financially.
I had a plan set in place initially but that plan went south and I didnt have the chance to get that plan back in place before the space was already rented.
I also reached out to a popular business owner who has a small space available, & I cannot get a response for the life of me. Which, I was told to reach out to them & I have through multiple text, showed up & left my info, and a professional email. It's not for my lack of effort.
✨️I am becoming quite discouraged & I am currently up the creek without a paddle. It may be pregnancy emotions, but I have worked my butt off since 2012 to build the business, the relationships, reputation, and trust I have & I truly love what I do.

I don't need much, just enough room to set up my station, be able to plumb 1 shampoo bowl, & a door for privacy.
If anyone has any connections in Trussville, or has a room available, or ideas that I haven't thought about, please reach out. I am open to anything besides having a salon in my home. I do not want a salon in my home, especially with a new baby.
Also, relocating within reason. I have a loyal clientele & would like to stay within a reasonable distance.
