This is Christina, she has aging fragile hair, that grows very slowly and is prone to breakage. She likes to be very blonde and doesn’t like to cut it very much because it grows slow and has been trying to grow it out for years. Having fragile hair that is prone to breakage, yet not really wanting to cut as needed, and being very blonde work against eachother, but she insists on both! So we’ve resorted to custom hair extensions!!
Perfectress is leading independent manufacturer of top quality remy hair extensions, I have been a certified extensionist with them since 2017.
What is remy hair?
The term, “Remy,” refers to the characteristics of the hair and the method used to manufacture it. The outer cellular layer of Remy hair is left intact and sorted in the same direction. AHHOOOO!🤩Wolf cut!🐺🩶😍
This was a rescue mission! She had been doing DIY bleaching at home, and one section towards the side and back was completely damaged, and breaking. She thought she had to chop her hair off to her shoulders and start over. She preferred to keep it long. So after discussing options, we decided to go with a wolf cut!
We cut the back into a V, and a texturized, the long side to match the broken side, to make it look intentional🙂
All is not lost! When in doubt, you can always book a consultation with me. Sometimes the creative ideas are the solution!

She travels a lot internationally for work, and is about to leave for South Korea! For her color, we chose something to keep her bright and blonde, but with a soft grow out. The technique I chose for her is actually a hybrid of 2 techniques. babylights and bold slices all around the perimeter, then balayage, and reverse balayage lowlights throughout the interior and top for a seamless grow out!

We cut nearly 12 inches of hair! Added long shaggy layers to lighten everything up and some cute curtain bangs to frame the face, don’t forget the balayage! We did a focal balayage, which is face framing highlighting, to really make all that texture around her face pop!

Transformation time!! Had to get her ready for her big trip to Australia that has been postponed since the pandemic hit.
She has also been letting her hair grow since Covid, and she was ready for the chop! We went with this modern boxy bob with textured surface layers🤩 For her color we added a bold bright money piece, and reverse balayaged in some golden brown lowlights!👌🏼😍😍

New client today! She is new to Tucson, brand new doctor at Banner residency, as she has completed med school in Phoenix just recently and needed to find a hairstylist. This girl has tons of hair!😳
She had layers once when she was in junior high, and it was a terrible experience apparently. She definitely NEEDS layers! She was very nervous, and super pleased by the time she left!

But we all really want to know is what is doing with her hair next?! It’s been a hot minute…and she’s back! We decided to go with this half-and-half color blocking technique so she can go back to her natural for a bit, but still have fun hair!

Atomic blonde!✨💣🔥✨🤩
We have been working towards a rooty platinum blonde for a few sessions now! Here’s the most recent before, and after! To create this look I foiled back to back slices, with no hair in between, instead of a traditional bleach out, to create that rooty look with her natural hair color. This will also be a softer grow out sense. It is a more lived in look!
