This was a life-changing shift for me. Can’t believe it’s been a year!

My mom was French. This was my first time back now that both my parents have passed. I was raised bilingual but only ever lived in France for a few months at a time. Still, it’s always felt my other home.

I’ve been coming to the Loire Valley since I was a baby. I probably see France a little differently. I’m drawn to quiet details: overgrown kitchen gardens, flowers claiming forgotten corners, the fairytale light in village alleyways. Thought you might appreciate seeing France through these eyes.

Modernism Weekend pics, with the legendary Ball-Paylore house. At the end, my house at sunset (not on the tour…yet, lol).

Once a year, ten historic architect-designed homes are opened to the public for a few hours to display Tucson’s impressive Mid-Century architecture. I’ve wanted to see the Ball-Paylore house for years, so tiny! But such a bold design.

Starting another trip around the sun today. ☕️🌞
