Your skin and stress may be more connected than you think.

Breakouts, redness, irritation and unexpected flare-ups can sometimes appear when your stress levels rise, even overnight. Your skin has its own way of telling you when it’s time to slow down.

Have you ever noticed your skin change during a stressful week?

Freckle or sunspot? Not every spot on your skin is what it seems. 🔍

Freckles fade with the seasons. Sunspots (solar lentigines) stick around from years of sun exposure. And some skin cancers, including melanoma, can look just like both.
The giveaway isn’t color alone. Watch for spots that change in size, shape, or color, have irregular or blurred borders, bleed, don’t heal, or just don’t look like the rest of your skin.
If something feels off, don’t try to fade it before you know what it is. Book a skin check with us, we’ll take a closer look. 🩺

Used the same skincare product for years with no problems, and now your skin suddenly hates it?

Your skin can change over time due to a weakened skin barrier, repeated exposure to certain ingredients or the development of an allergy.

If irritation keeps returning, it may be time to simplify your routine and see a dermatologist to help identify the trigger. Your skin isn’t being “dramatic.” It may be trying to tell you something.

Your skincare routine hasn’t changed, so why is your eczema suddenly flaring?

I often remind my patients that eczema can react to more than skincare products. Weather changes, dry air, heat, sweat, stress, allergens and certain fabrics can all trigger inflammation. Sometimes, a flare happens without one obvious cause.

If your eczema keeps returning or is becoming difficult to manage, schedule an appointment so we can create a treatment plan personalized to your skin.

Taking ReNew360 to new heights! 🏔️

I recently completed the Maroon Bells Traverse, connecting South Maroon Peak at 14,163 feet and North Maroon Peak at 14,014 feet in Colorado’s Elk Range, all in a single day.

Considered one of North America’s most challenging and technical alpine traverses, it demanded endurance, careful route-finding, comfort with extreme exposure, and advanced climbing skills. It was an unforgettable experience and a powerful reminder of what focus, preparation, and perseverance can accomplish.

Proud to carry ReNew360 with me to the summit!

Skin cancer treatment doesn’t always have to mean surgery.

Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT) is a non-surgical treatment that uses precise, low-energy radiation to target certain basal cell and squamous cell skin cancer, without cutting or stitches.

We’re proud to offer SRT at Specialists in Dermatology as another treatment option for eligible patients. Your provider will determine whether SRT is right for you based on the type, size, and location of your skin cancer.

The one skin cancer sign people ignore…
A spot that scabs, heals, then comes back. That pattern is a common early sign of basal/squamous cell carcinoma, highly treatable if caught early.

We offer SRT (Superficial Radiation Therapy) here, a non-surgical treatment option.

If a spot won’t fully heal, get it checked.👀
