Social media gets a bad wrap but I believe its all how we use it & boundaries.
I post here a lot but I also take 2 days off of social media a week, almost completely and I limit my time per day. I use social media as a tool for spreading good and connecting with my community. Using social media intentionally has helped me have a better relationship with it and a more fulfilling life. Intentionality in every aspect is so important.

I didn’t get any photos from last night at the Q***r Bazaar but as I was sitting, a little overheated from setting up, I was watching & listening to Jesenia as they were talking to all the wonderful people who showed up to for the event. I felt so grateful to be there with our q***r community and to have such a wonderful team member/ friend. Jesenia worked at all day and then still wanted to come help out at the Q***r Bazaar afterwards. I definitely needed it, because as much as I do enjoy talking with everyone, I get easily overstimulated, my brain slows down and it becomes hard to interact with everyone. Jesenia, on the other hand, genuinely enjoys the exciting atmosphere and is always so full of life at markets and when helping anyone who comes into Arizona Poppy.
My passion is the heartbeat but Jesenia is seriously the life blood of my business. They keep everything organized, they ship out all our online orders and they truly are the best at making everyone who comes to shop feel welcomed and seen. They have a genuine, thoughtful & kind soul. Jesenia truly cares about others and that is rare to find in any human let alone a team member. It fills my heart to know I can trust my business, my creations and all of you with them. It’s been over 3 years now that they have been working for me and they are far from just an employee to me. They have become a trusted friend and I think that’s part of what running a small business is all about, creating your own world and uplifting the people in it. Jesenia allows me to show up in the areas I am strong in and I hope I do the same for them.
Feeling so good after last night even after hardly sleeping and that’s in large part thanks to Jesenia who truly makes my life as a small business owner so much easier 🥹.
💖 Jesenia isn’t on social media (good for them) but they are at Arizona Poppy today from 11-4pm if you would like to say hi to them. This place I have called home my whole life: The Sonoran Desert is the wettest desert on earth meaning it is full of life during most of its seasons.
Sustainable foraging means learning about each individual plant & the ecosystem, only taking a few from each plant, only taking during seasons & areas of plenty and giving back to the land that gives to us. This has always been my ethics with Sonoran Rosie.
We work with prickly pear cactus fruit, creosote bush, brittlebush, ponderosa pine, and more local desert plants to create all natural self care & skincare.
Desert plants are powerful allies, have aromatherapy properties and help us survive the warmer seasons.
