Teaching students how to do a skin analysis using a Woods Lamp 🧐
•
Ultraviolet light is a very useful tool for accurate skin analysis. The violet rays of the lamp enable you to “see” into the deeper layers of the skin in order to help identify certain skin conditions and recommend a proper treatment protocol. Different conditions are determined by the various colors as shown through the magnification glass of the Wood’s Lamp. Little white dots or lines can be lint or fabric particles, orange areas indicate blocked pores and oil, thicker white areas are dryer skin.
