Hi guys!
As some of you may know, I’ve been away from the salon recently, and I’ll be stepping away again for a bit longer after some upcoming surgeries, so I figured I'd share an update.
On March 10th, I went into the ER & was admitted that night to get a 9cm blood clot removed from my shoulder. I ended up getting disgnosed with Paget-Schroetter Syndrome which is an overuse injury that causes clotting due to a trapped vein between my 1st rib & collarbone. On April 14th I'll have a 1st rib removal and scalenectomy to release the entrapped vein, which will be followed a few weeks later by an angioplasty to widen the vein so that it can be functional again.

That being said, I'm going to have a pretty long journey ahead with regaining the mobility in my arm, and it's really hard to tell how long I'll end up being out of the salon. The current hope is to get me back in the saddle around the 2 month post-op time period, but it's hard to tell what recovery will entail since it varies so much person-to-person!

i finally remembered to take some pictures of hair! Jody had some pieces of wisdom glitter around her face, so we decided to spice up her beautiful curls by adding in highlights all over to match. now, i don't know if our man-made glitter will make her any wiser, but she sure looks cute! thanks Jody! ❤️
