CUTTING EDGE

Today starts Chapter 21 of a dream I had when I left Blockbuster Video in 2005 and saw this space was available.

I went through my photos to make a slideshow of the last 21 years, and it was so emotional. There’s no way I could narrow it down to something that could ever do it justice.

The memories I have are of YOU.
Babies. Weddings. Funerals. Celebrations of all kinds.
Back-to-school pictures with the kids holding their signs. Some made me laugh. Many made me tear up — especially the ones of people who are no longer with us.

We’ve had birthday parties, baby showers, painting parties, and weight-loss challenges. I don’t know how many teeth I’ve pulled or how many kids I’ve babysat while working.

I raised my kids in the shop — with YOU.

I started as a loner. Later, my bestie joined me and had everyone lashed up. We were forced to move and grow. Cecilia and Jenifer were the perfect addition at the perfect time. We survived COVID and another quick move — just another push in God’s perfect timing. Hollie came in and added something to our team that only she could. Mary came and went to create her beautiful family, and she is still part of us. Then came Alexis — the baby sister we’re getting to watch grow. We had a year with our Charlee girl, and she was such a bright spot in our week. Now Daisy is here, taking the very best care of us.

Cecilia has been watching the forecast this week and has decided we will be CLOSED on Saturday due to inclement weather.

Amanda and Cecilia are off on vacation—but don’t worry, they locked the girls in the shop, and they’ll be here to take care of you.

With the fair in town, things usually slow down a bit. But after you grab your yardstick and turkey leg, swing by and let Jenifer, Alexis, and Hollie freshen up your wig!

Back to school haircuts are wrapped up and it’s time for a long weekend!!

We will be CLOSED on Saturday 8/30 for Labor Day weekend.
