Thank you to everyone who followed along with our Mother’s Day series and helped us celebrate so many incredible women over the past few weeks. We’ve loved honoring the mothers, daughters, grandmothers, mentors, and friends who shape our lives in meaningful ways.

Some women live through more than most… and still choose to keep going.

My mom’s life was marked by loss at a young age, and yet she continued to move forward with strength, faith, and determination.

She became a mother of seven children at just 29, navigating life in ways I didn’t fully understand until I was much older.

Looking back now, I see it differently.

I see her resilience.
Her willingness to keep showing up.
Her faith—even when it wavered at times.

She taught me, not just in words but in the way she lived, that you can walk through grief and still keep moving forward.

She loved deeply—especially her grandchildren—and I carry that with me.

And over the years, I’ve tried to keep her memory alive… not just by talking about her, but by holding onto the kind of woman she was striving to be.

As we wrap up this month of honoring the women who shape us, I’m especially grateful for mine. ❤️

There’s something really special about watching your daughter become a mother herself 💛

Lorianna grew up around the salon, and now in this season of life, she’s soaking up time with her own growing family and embracing motherhood so beautifully.

She shared these words with me, and they mean more than I can say:

“Some moms just make people feel loved wherever they go. 💛

Growing up, my mom and I were always close, but becoming a mom myself over the last six years has made me appreciate her in a completely different way.

She taught us how to care for people, love our family well, and keep Jesus at the center of our home. I see so much of her in the way I raise my own kids now.

And now getting to watch her be ‘Grammy’ to my kids is one of my favorite things. She’s patient, loving, and always there when we need her.

She’s not just a great mom—she’s a really good friend to me too, and I’m thankful for her every day.” 🌼

Erin has always had a natural eye for hair—she says she’s loved playing with it for as long as she can remember. Over the years, that creativity has grown into beautiful work, especially in the way she styles for weddings and special moments.

She’s dependable, patient, and steady—the kind of person you can always count on.

Her mom, Cynthia, was a nurse, and Erin says she learned her work ethic from her. And you can see that in everything she does.

There’s a calm confidence about her, both in the way she carries herself and the way she works—and it’s a big part of what makes her so loved here. 💖

Some women are natural nurturers… it’s just who they are.

She’s been part of this journey for a long time—these photos say it better than words ever could.

Angie found her way into cosmetology after high school, not fully knowing where it would lead—but she quickly realized she loved the art of it and the way it made people feel.

Over the years, that’s exactly what she’s done.

She has a way of making people feel taken care of—whether she’s behind the chair, doing nails, or just spending time with someone who needs a little extra care that day.

It’s not just what she does… it’s who she is.

She’s also a mom and a grandmother who absolutely adores her family, and that same love carries into everything she does.

And I can say from experience… she’s even taken care of me with a foot massage after a long day on my feet—just because. 💛

Some women grow up in the salon… whether they think they want to or not.

Ginger has been part of NC Salon for over 30 years, but her story started long before that.

Her mom was a hairstylist—a bit of a spitfire herself—who ran a shop out of their home, and Ginger was right there in it from the very beginning.

Whether she was sick or  not, she went to the shop. She’d lay on the couch, and she’ll tell you there were even times she ended up sleeping on top of the Coke machine.

It was just what she knew. In her words… she didn’t think she liked it at the time.

Her dad was a painter, and one rainy day when he happened to be home, a client accidentally wandered a little too far into the house. That was the moment he finally said it was time to move the shop out—and Ginger will tell you, that’s about the only time she remembers him putting his foot down.

But as the years went on, she realized it had shaped her into exactly who she was meant to be.

She’s real, she tells it like it is, and her clients wouldn’t have it any other way. And if you’ve ever spent time around her, you know—there’s always a good Ginger story to hear.

And just like her mom… she’s built something of her own—raising two beautiful daughters and now enjoying life as “Gigi,” loving on her grandchildren, painting, quilting, and keeping them close whenever she can.💛

Some women don’t just work in a salon…
they help shape the people in it.

Jaena has been part of New Creations from the very beginning—long before the doors ever opened. Over the years, she’s poured into so many—raising the standard, mentoring, and loving people well.

I’ve had the privilege of doing life alongside her for many years…

And at the center of it all… she’s a mom.

Her daughter Jennifer shared this about her:

“She leads with wisdom, grace, humor, and a strong foundation of faith, always pouring into others—not just professionally, but personally and spiritually. She truly is the heart—and the ‘salon mom’—to so many.”

And if you know her… you know that’s exactly who she is.

The way we care for others is shaped long before we ever step behind the chair. 💛
