Client Acne Journey → Hyperpigmentation Treatment.

Today marked my client’s 5th visit with me, and I couldn’t be more excited about her progress!

Our journey began with a consultation on …

April 17th - During that consultation, I completed a thorough skin analysis, and addressed a few areas of concerns she had inflammatory acne, congestion open and closed comedones, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) barrier sensitivity. The esthetician in me just had to do a mini facial as well with extractions and spot treatment. She had previously seen other estheticians and a dermatologist, so I knew earning her trust would be an important part of this process.

Before beginning any corrective treatments, I recommended a customized homecare regimen. I explained that I wanted her skin to become accustomed to active ingredients and begin strengthening her skin barrier before moving into more advanced treatments. She committed to the process and purchased the recommended products.

April 27th – First Facial…

Our focus was simple ..hydration, skin health, and understanding how her skin responded to treatment. Healthy skin starts with proper hydration, so we kept things basic while building a strong foundation.

May 11th – Second Facial…

We continued with a customized facial while focusing heavily on education. At this stage, she was feeling discouraged because she noticed increased breakouts. I explained that what she was experiencing was purging and encouraged her to trust the process. Consistency and patience are key when correcting acne.

May 26th – Third Facial…

This is where we began seeing significant improvement. Active acne was dramatically reduced, and her skin was responding beautifully to both professional treatments and homecare. At this point, only a few minor breakouts remained, which is completely normal due to hormonal fluctuations and everyday skin changes.

Our flight landed in Atlanta at 3:00a We made it home, showered, and hit the road to Tuscaloosa. My first client was at 8:00a had a walk-in at 9:30a and from there it was back to back appointments all the way until 6:30p
Eight beautiful guests serviced today, and I’m beyond grateful.

California was amazing for those 5 days, but now I’m back to business. Nothing has changed over here still working, still glowing, still making it happen.

Today was self care day for my niece.

I noticed a few fine papules, pustules, and some congestion around her nose, so I told her, Baby, we’re doing a facial today.

She said, OK! and was excited.

As she gets closer to her teen years, it’s important that she understands proper skincare, healthy habits, and how to care for her body. I took the time to educate her on what we were doing, why we were doing it, and how to take care of her skin at home.

We even did an underarm wax, and her response was,
That don’t hurt! 😂 Good.

I love teaching our young girls that self care isn’t just about looking good it’s about confidence, hygiene, self-respect, and taking pride in yourself. And baby, she’s already classy, girly, and a little bougie too.

Self care is the best care.
