16” of MY natural hair ➡️ 22” and versatile 😮‍💨✨

I started with my natural hair freshly Silk Pressed at about 16 inches, then transformed it with a 22” Premium Bond Install using synthetic blend hair. And THIS is exactly why I love this install. 💕🔥

I didn’t just want length. I wanted an install that would let me actually wear my hair DIFFERENT ways.

With the placement of my bonds, I can switch it up:

✨ Middle part
✨ Side part
✨ High ponytail
✨ Low ponytail
✨ Half-up, half-down
✨ TWO ponytails with the rest left down 😮‍💨

Because what’s the point of having 22 inches if I can only wear it one way?! 😂💅🏽

And yes, you read that correctly: this is synthetic blend hair. You do not always have to choose the most expensive extension hair to get a beautiful result. The right hair, thoughtful placement, and an install customized around how you actually want to style it can make all the difference.

Remember my transitioning Babe from a couple weeks ago? 👀💕 The one we did the Twist Out on?

Well, that Twist Out lasted her TWO WEEKS 🙌🏽 and now she’s back so we can try something completely different!

She’s transitioning from relaxed to natural hair, and right now our goal isn’t to force her into one signature style. We’re experimenting with different looks and learning what SHE loves on her hair during this stage of her journey. 🥰

➰ Flat iron curls to finish the look

I curled her hair during the blowout BEFORE going in with my flat iron because I already knew I wanted the finished style to have body and volume, not just straight hair with curls sitting on the ends. 😮‍💨

Transitioning hair can be an adjustment because you’re learning how to work with your natural new growth while still having relaxed hair on your ends. That’s why we’re trying different styles instead of making her feel like she only has one option.
