Love Locks: Dreadlocks + Hair Studio

Partial + Custom Color Match ✨

For this set, I used 22” human hair extensions to compensate for the length naturally lost during the backcombing process, allowing us to preserve the look of her extra-long natural hair.

The fun part? The extension colors weren’t a perfect match off the shelf. Instead of settling, I custom toned them using Oway North America, creating a blend, that even stunned me, that perfectly matched the beautiful warmth hiding underneath her natural color.

Formula:
• # 33 extensions → 7.34
• # 22 extensions → 8.3 + 9.34

I couldn’t be happier with how naturally this partial blends.

4 months ago we installed ends to her funky (but cool) natural locks. This weekend in Austin, I was stunned when I saw how they’ve cozied in, and have blended so beautifully ✨

We didn’t do anything dramatic here. Simply added roughly 4” to her natural length and the end results are 🤌🏽💋

Iykyk but my passion behind dreadwork is to embrace the look of natural dreadlocks, and simply enhance them past what you’ve grown and created yourself🫶🏼 This is a prime example of just that 💫💞
