I couldn’t think of a better person to kick off vivid season with than one of my OG clients. 🌈⚡️

Kaysie has been sitting in my chair since cosmetology school back in 2024! She’s been there through the learning, the experimenting, the glow-ups, and all the questionable color ideas 😂 and somewhere along the way, she quickly became one of my favorite featured models for vivids.

And honestly? She is the DREAM client for creative work.

Our appointments basically go:

“Here’s the theme.”
“Do whatever you want.”
“I don’t care.”
“Here’s the budget.” 😂

LIKE??? SAY LESS. 🎨

The trust she gives me to take an idea and run with it is something I’ll never take for granted. She gives me the freedom to create, and I get to have WAY too much fun doing it.

So when I was thinking about who should kick off vivid season… obviously it had to be one of the OGs. 🌈

Now let’s get into THIS color because she absolutely understood the assignment. 👀

🍂 THE THEME: FALL 🍂

We knew we wanted ORANGE to be the star of the show, but I also wanted to be strategic about it. The goal was to give her that perfect hit of orange without creating a nightmare for us at her future appointments. 😂

Because there are TWO things we have learned about Kaysie’s hair:

IT. LOVES. RED. ❤️
IT. LOVES. PURPLE. 💜

And it REFUSES to let them go.

But blues? Greens? Turquoise? Yellow? Literally almost any other color?

Her hair is like, “Oh, you want me to leave? Say less.” 👋🏼😂

So for this appointment, we actually ran through THREE different game plans before we even got started.

Because sometimes hair has other plans.

On paper, color theory can look like:

“If I do THIS → XYZ will be my result.”

But real hair doesn’t always read the textbook. Especially when you’re working with years of color history, previous vivids, and a head of hair that has already decided which pigments it wants to emotionally attach itself to. 😂

So we adjusted, we pivoted, and we trusted the process.

And THIS is where we landed. 🍊🍂⚡️
