A few seemingly innocent habits can have your color fading faster than it should:

01. HOT SHOWERS
Long, steamy showers can dry the skin and encourage faster exfoliation. Keep them warm rather than scorching + avoid soaking longer than necessary.

02. THE WRONG BODY WASH
Harsh cleansers can strip the skin of its natural oils and leave your tan with a less-than-ideal canvas. Reach for a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser that supports your skin barrier — like REFRESH.

03. SKIPPING HYDRATION
Dry skin sheds faster, and your tan goes with it. Daily moisturizing is one of the easiest ways to support an even, gradual fade. CRÈME is your friend.

04. HOT TUBS
Heat + prolonged soaking + chemicals = not exactly your tan’s best friends. You don’t have to skip the hot tub on vacation, but expect it to shorten the life of your color.

05. CHLORINE
Pool days are worth it — but chlorine can be drying. Start with a waterproof lotion SPF and rinse with fresh water after swimming and replenish moisture afterward to give your tan a fighting chance.
