Established nearly ten years ago In charming downtown Tyrone Georgia, Blackbird Hair Studio is a cozy, eclectic hair studio specializing in soft, modern styles for the whole community. I am ready to build a long- lasting, trusting, relationship with you and your hair. I believe in the importance of listening, and a thorough consultation in order to achieve the cut and style that is perfectly balanced for your vision and lifestyle. I deeply care about the quality and professionalism of your visit. My guests experience a private, modern and relaxed environment, great for guests seeking refuge from a large and chaotic salon experience, or those who are easily overstimulated by their surroundings. Color has long been a specialty of mine - everything from babylight foils, balayage, fantasy colors, or just a few sun kissed sprinkles around your face. I specialize in cutting classic styles with a fresh, modern edge. I also am well trained and experienced several methods in curly hair cutting and styling.

While doing a bit of website updating today, I found some older pictures of things i did a lot more of when I started my independent journey - mainly formal hair and vivids. These days i spend more time blending grey tones and helping women achieve new highlights to look like they were born with them. Back when I was a baby cosmetologist I thought I’d spend all of my time working on high fashion, vivid colors. And I still do that from time to time, but these days i am content to bring out the best hair that nature gave you, let you sip your relaxing coffee, and talk to me about books, family, your job, or the new hobbies you picked up last week.

Good morning friends! Quick ‘fall’ update - now that ALL the kids, (mine, that is,) are in school, I have opened up Tuesdays in my regular schedule. They are now open for booking from 9:00-1:00, and I do have a slot or two left for tomorrow, August 26th.
In addition to Tuesdays, this school year i will also be keeping my regular hours on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Evenings are a bit limited at the moment but if you reach out directly, I would love to find a spot for you!
