Don't forget to take time to enjoy.
This season is so beautiful.
We've had lots of sunshine here in Northern California. I am very grateful for the opportunity to soak up some rays.
Rainy weather returns tomorrow. I look forward to sipping hot tea by my cozy fire.
I have so much love for the plants that persist through the winter months. Their medicine is potent.
I pray for the animals this season, fully at the mercy of the elements. I like to imagine little foxes and rabbits, cozy and cuddling in their burrows.
Sending Love π²

Every year, my devoted husband risks his life to harvest us a beautiful Lion's Mane mushroom. He climbs a small oak tree on a steep hill, covered with wet moss, overhanging a rocky creek bed! Bless him!
Lion's Mane is one of our best selling tinctures. It's always made from wild-harvested, fresh mushrooms.
Lion's Mane is excellent for increasing brain function and memory, making new neuropathways, recovery from concussion, to treat/avoid alzheimers disease and for seasonal depression.
Happy Autumn and Happy Mushroom hunting season! πππ

Healing as a Spiritual Experience.
Have you ever had a profound experience while in the throws of illness?
Sometimes, when our bodies fall apart, our hearts become louder and reveal to us the deeper reason for our pain.
Bees, Gardeners, and Herbalists sure are busy in the summer.
I'm watching my garden prepare for winter's rest and doing the same myself.
I am so grateful to the bees, who keep my echinacea, sage blossoms and bee balm pollinated and thriving, so that I may thrive as well through my winter's rest.
This is a small reminder to have your immune herbs ready in your pantry. A few of my favorites are:
Echinacea
Reishi mushroom
Turkey tail mushroom
Astragalus
Elder berry
Usnea
Bee balm
Ginger
Thyme
Garlic
What's your favorite cold and flu remedy for winter?

We have lots of Elder Berry Syrup available!
Made with potent, wild harvested elder berries, spring water, and organic/raw wildflower honey.
Elder berry syrup is the tastiest herbal medicine. Ou children ask for it regularly.
Elder berries are anti-viral, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. They are also very high in vitamin C. Many studies show how effective elder berries are in preventing cold and flu viruses. Elder berry syrup in your pantry is a must-have for the winter season!
We made this syrup by hand-harvesting wild berries, boiling them, pressing the juice from the berries, and then reducing the juice to 1/3 of the original volume. Once it was cooled, raw/organic wildflower honey was added. This is a highly-potent, hand-made product!

Teaching Skincare and Facials for Young Women was such a blast!
We had over 25 teenage girls in the class, and we made a lovely facial together with kaolin clay, marshmallow root, powdered rose petals and rose water.
I love teaching others that we can pamper ourselves with herbs and oils that bring balance to our bodies inside and out. Also, it's such a fun thing to do with friends! Be it facials, hair masks, massages with herbal oils, foot soaks or nail care, we can stay away from chemical ingredients and fragrances and have a fun and healing experience in our beauty care.
Many, many thanks to the Women's Herbal Symposium for hosting and to all the young women who showed up to class.

Today, I made Shatavari Gritham (shatavari infused ghee) to support my reproductive system, bring balance to my endocrine system, and bring cooling/moistening properties to my body in this hot/dry season.
I am in gratitude to the plants, my teachers, and the continuous lessons this life brings.

If you have thought about attending but haven't yet made it, I highly recommend planning for next year! Spirit Weavers Gathering is pure magic. We gather on beautiful land for several days, sharing and learning from one another and united in sisterhood. Attending Spirit Weavers was a heart opening experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
