Noticing when you become dysregulated is half the battle. What happens in your body when something triggers you or crosses a boundary?
Pay attention to the cues your body gives you. We aren’t often our best selves when we are dysregulated. So take a moment, take what you need.
For me today after seeing that snake that slithered right in front of me as I was stomping along on my sunny hike… I needed to put a hand on my heart, slow down my breath and remember that I was safe.
