You don’t have to earn rest, and taking care of yourself doesn’t make you selfish—it helps you show up as the mama you want to be.
So breathe in the fresh air, enjoy the quiet, and let yourself simply be for a little while… even if someone yells “Mom!” five minutes later. 🤍😂

Today was one of those days I knew was coming, but somehow my mama heart still wasn’t ready for. 🥹🎒🤍
Her first day of Pre-K. A first for her, but also such a big first for all of us.
And it hit me today… this is one of the first firsts she’ll have for the rest of our lives. The first day of Pre-K, then kindergarten, middle school, high school, college… first jobs, first big dreams, and so many moments I can’t even imagine yet.
For so long, I’ve gotten to be there for nearly every little moment, and now I’m watching her take her first tiny steps into a world that’s hers. A world where she’ll learn things without me, make friends without me, discover who she is, and come home with stories I wasn’t there to see happen. And gosh, that’s beautiful… but it hurts a little too. 🥺
I wish I could bottle up the little girl who walked into Pre-K today and keep her this small forever. But since I can’t, I’ll just stand behind her, cheering her on through every single first life gives her.
Go be brave, sweet girl. This is only the beginning. 🤍✨
