Great post!

"I have come to the end. All I have left is just a handful of flour and a bit of oil. I will make a tiny loaf for my son and me. Eat it. Then die."

This is basically what the Widow of Zarephath said to the Prophet Elijah when God instructed him to move there in First Kings chapter 17.

This widow had NOTHING left. Nothing left to give her son. Nothing left to give humanity. Nothing. Then God stepped in. Sent HIS prophet directly to her -for her- just in time.

Elijah told her to go and prepare the bread, but first "give ME some." What? She has barely enough for her own family and that prophet had the AUDACITY to ask for some FIRST?! In the Earthly Realm this perspective seems very selfish. But in God's Kingdom, His perspective is quite different.

This Prophet represents GOD HIMSELF. So basically, God is the one saying, "Make Me some FIRST." She probably thought, "What difference will it make anyway if THIS is my last meal or if I already had it?" 🤔 🤷🏼‍♀️With these thoughts in mind, she didn't throw a fit, put up a fight, or even question the request. She just did it. She obeyed the "voice" of the Lord and believed Elijah when he said,

"Do not fear... For thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the LORD sends rain upon the earth.’” And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ATE FOR MANY DAYS. The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the LORD that he spoke by Elijah."

This Widow SHARED what little she had... AND... IT WAS MULTIPLIED. Not only was it multiplied, the supply NEVER RAN OUT.

Little is MUCH in the hands of the Lord.

What little do YOU have? Share it. And the blessings will grow, multiply, and come back to you "pressed down. Shaken together. And running over."

THIS is the blessings of the Kingdom of God. When WE are at our end, THAT is when HE can show you what HE can do.

Personally? I should have gave up and ended own self-effort a long time ago. I think I will sit back and WATCH what the hand of the God of the Universe can do this time around.

Harvested some Nettles last spring and dried them. All bagged up ready to spread the health. (See what I did there?)
