“ I am a Des Moines native and I truly love the city so much I never moved away! As a young girl I was always the one doing my friend’s and family’s hair and makeup for fun. My passion for making people feel confident and beautiful really grew from there and I decided to make this fun hobby into my career. Thirteen years later I know I made the right career choice! There is nothing I love more than my guests leaving my chair feeling more confident than when they sat down.​

When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband, Cole and our 2-year-old daughter, Eden. I love experimenting with new recipes from the latest cookbooks and then relaxing while watching one of my current tv obsessions and cuddling with one or both of our 85-pound American Bullies, Baxter and Drax.

LETS TALK ABOUT LIGHTING 💡

Would you believe me if I told you these photos were taken less than 1hr apart? BELIEVE IT! The first photo was taken in my car, upward angle, with natural light, a cloudy day- zero sun. The second photo was taken in my studio which has floor to celing windows (tinted), but it was cloudy. The only light used was my lighting in my studio which I can cast warm.

I’m telling you this because when you’re brining in that inspo picture to your stylist- remember all the work going into that exact photo. Lighting and angles are EVERYTHING! You can have your color look completely different depending on the time of day, and where you’re at. We as your stylists want you to feel your best at all times, so never get discouraged if in certain lighting or settings you’re seeing tones that you didn’t think were there before. You wear your hair beautifully regardless! This ends my ted talk 🤍

Kinda blonde kinda copper 😘

Niki Dale has been working behind the chair since graduating from the Aveda Institute Des Moines in 2010. 
During that time, she was nationally awarded by the Professional Beauty Association's the Beacon Award for marketing, presentation, and overall cosmetology skill. She was also globally awarded through the Aveda network with the Edwin Neill II Full Potential Student Award for promise and potential as a future professional. Niki has been a certified Aqua extensionist since 2019 and a master certified Bellami extensionist since 2020. 

She loves learning and passing knowledge onto her guests, so she takes as many continued education classes as she can every year. In her down time she loves hiking, spending time with friends, and spoiling her little chihuahua, Sushi, who is named after her favorite food!
