What an amazing season! 🧡

Over the last 8 weeks, our Junior Giants players learned and practiced a new value each week that they could use both on and off the field.

We are so proud of the dedication, effort, and positive attitudes our players brought to every practice and every game. Watching them grow as teammates, encourage one another, and build confidence has been the best part of the season.

At week 3, at Junior Giants, our Word of the Week was Strike Out Bullying. ❌

Our players learned about bullying, the importance of kindness, and how to make a difference by speaking up, treating everyone with respect, and being inclusive both on and off the field.

Each team also worked together to create posters showing what it means to stand against bullying. In this video, you’ll hear our players share how they can help strike out bullying in their schools, on their teams, and in their communities.

Together, we can create a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and included. ⚾️🤗

Thank you, Watsonville PAL, for giving us the opportunity to spend the day exploring beautiful Monterey Bay! 🌊

Our teens had a great time visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium, seeing playful sea otters, colorful fish, and amazing jellyfish. We also enjoyed walking around Cannery Row and had a delicious lunch at Louie Linguini’s. 🍝 Of course, we couldn’t leave without making an In-N-Out stop on the way home! 🍔

We hope everyone had an amazing time, made new memories, and enjoyed this awesome summer break adventure. Thank you again, Watsonville PAL, for making this experience possible! 💙🐠

Camping at the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park with Office of Community Involvement !!!🏕️

Last week some of our PAL teens were able to attend Office of Community Involvement Outdoor Youth Connection at Henry Cowell Redwoods State park in Santa Cruz. 🌲

The teens were actively encouraged to work together as a team and to step up wherever help was needed. This was a great opportunity for our teens to grow and connect with not only the teens in our group, but also the teens in other groups as well! Not only did they engage in team building activities, they were also tasked with cooking, serving, and cleaning each day, giving them a great chance to take initiative and responsibility for the very food they would eat. 💪

Last weekend, our House Cup winners, the Astro Sharks, got to celebrate with a trip to Six Flags!🏆🎢

The Astro Sharks spent the day riding roller coasters, enjoying their meal passes, and making memories together. It was a well-earned reward for all of their hard work throughout the year.
At Vacaville PAL, every teen is placed into a House (team) that they stay with for the year. Each House creates its own name and logo, then earns points by getting involved in their community, being positive leaders at school, participating in PAL activities, and competing in games during our PAL Retreats.
The Astro Sharks earned the most points this year through their dedication, teamwork, and positive attitudes. 🎉

Congratulations, Astro Sharks! We can’t wait to see which House takes home the House Cup next year! 🦈💙
