Strengthening the bonds between cops, kids, and our community! 🚔💙
On June 18, our PAL Teens had the opportunity to explore the beauty of Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve alongside our Vacaville Police officers. 🌲
The hike was a lot of fun, but this trip was really about building relationships, making memories, and giving our officers and teens the chance to get to know each other outside of everyday life.
Our officers took time away from their regular duties to spend the day getting to know these teens, sharing conversations, creating memories, and strengthening the trust that PAL is built on. These moments outside of uniforms and classrooms are where lasting connections are made.
This is what the Vacaville Police Activities League is all about: creating positive experiences, building mentorships, and showing our youth that they have officers who genuinely care about them and their future.

On June 18, our PAL Teens and Vacaville School Resource Officers took a trip to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve! 🌲
They spent the day exploring the redwoods, learning about nature, and hanging out with our officers. 🌿
And of course… we had to stop at In-N-Out on the way home! 🍔🍟

Summer is just getting started! ☀️
On June 11, our youth attended Travis Credit Union’s Generation Wealth workshop. While school may be out, we’re still learning!
Participants explored financial literacy, generational wealth, budgeting, and saving while taking part in an interactive real-life simulation. From managing a salary to balancing everyday expenses, they got a firsthand look at what it takes to make smart financial decisions. 💵
Thank you to Travis Credit Union for providing this valuable experience and helping our youth build skills that will benefit them for years to come! 💙

Week 2 – 06/23/26
Word of the Week: HEALTH 💪
Remember: Athletes like the SF Giants drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods, and take care of their bodies so they can perform their best on and off the field.
Other ways to be healthy:
🏃 Stay active by exercising and playing outside.
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
🥦 Fuel your body with healthy foods, including fruits and vegetables.
🧘 Start your day with a few minutes of stretching.
😴 Try to get 8–10 hours of sleep each night.
🚫 Challenge yourself to drink less soda and choose water instead.
⚾ Take care of your body so you can be your best teammate!
👕 This week was also Uniform Day!
We are excited to share that by Week 2, every player has received their uniform and equipment! Thank you to our coaches, volunteers, and families for helping make that possible.

That’s a wrap on Week 1!⚾️
This week’s Word of the Week was Teammate and we’re already seeing new friendships forming on the field. 🧡
We kicked off the season with an amazing Opening Ceremony and want to give a huge thank you to our City of Vacaville partners, staff, volunteers, coaches, and families for helping make this season possible. Your support helps us create opportunities for our youth to learn, grow, and succeed.
We can’t wait to spend the summer making memories, building friendships, and growing together both on and off the field. Here’s to a season full of fun, teamwork, and making tomorrow brighter. 🧡⚾️🖤

As we wrap up another amazing year, we’re celebrating our graduating PAL Class of 2026! 🎓✨
Our seniors have left a lasting impact on our program, and we are so proud of everything they have accomplished. We can’t wait to see where their next chapter takes them.
Congratulations, seniors! Thank you for your leadership, dedication, and the memories you’ve helped create along the way. Once PAL, always PAL. ⭐️💙

🌟Student of the Month Spotlight🌟
In the month of May, we’re proud to have recognized our PAL Kid, Joe Gutierrez, and our PAL Teen, Hector Vidales! 🎉
Joe has demonstrated his ability to be kind to peers, show a positive attitude, and always lend a helping hand to others. ⭐️
Hector has demonstrated his ability to be respectful, responsible, and serve as a great role model among his peers. 👏
We’re incredibly grateful for the hard work and participation that both Joe and Hector bring to PAL! 🎉
This morning our PAL Staff participated with the Vacaville Police Department in the Special Olympics Northern California Law Enforcement Torch Run! 👮♂️🔥
We ran 5 miles from Leisure Town all the way to the Vacaville Police Department in support of Special Olympics athletes and inclusion for all.
Definitely lots of laughs, cramps, sore legs, and teamwork today, but we were so lucky to be part of something so meaningful. 💙
P.S. We are still looking for Miss Breecett’s shoe 👟 and Miss Melissa is still running 🏃♀️😂
