Truth and unity are not enemies. (Period)

At the end of the day unrepentant sin is the enemy‼️

Understanding how we move through the messiness of sin may be the most important thing we ever do.

Here’s where I might start:
•ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart first. Do you want truth or to be right

•don’t land on one or two scriptures that prove your point, rather search for God’s heart for unity & truth

•be in control of your words. If you won’t feel proud you said it when it reaches God’s ears save it for yourself.

•take the discernment of the Holy Spirit into every moment as you navigate truth and unity.

Hear my heart please…

Refining fire has the potential to make us better. It’s incomfortable and it makes your get uncomfortable. It might make you say who’s approval do I really want. But it also can bring us closer to God and leave us with a wisdom we didn’t previously possess.

Here are some of the scriptures my family and I have been learning from in this season.

I just ask you, Do NOT pick up offense or division!!! But rather love for Gods church. He has such a beautiful design and gift for us in the church. ❤️

Just Ask your own questions and bring the Holy Spirit into it with you for wisest discernment and ALSO lean on scripture and prayer.

Let every experience show you Gods heart.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been spending time in Scripture, asking God to shape our understanding of what it means to live faithfully within the body of Christ.

We’ve been studying topics like:
• Handling difficult conversations
• Biblical leadership
• The role of elders
• Healthy church leadership
• Unity
• Church conflict
• Loving one another
• Biblical accountability

The more we study, the more we’re reminded that God’s Word doesn’t just encourage us it also challenges us. It calls us to grow in wisdom, humility, discernment, love, and obedience.

One verse that has caused us to reflect is this:

“I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.”
— 1 Corinthians 5:11 (NLT)

Passages like this remind us that Scripture calls us to both love deeply and take holiness seriously. Neither is meant to exist without the other.

Our prayer is simply that we would be people who love God’s Word enough to let it shape our hearts, our relationships, and the way we live.

I can’t believe this happened today..

Sometimes you didn’t even know you needed a reminder to keep showing up.

One of my core values is to try to add value everyday to the people around me.

I’m not always good at it but I do try and when I fail I try again the next day.
