✨ How to Protect Your Skin Before, During & After a Wax ✨
Smooth skin starts with good prep AND good aftercare! Here’s how to keep your skin happy every step of the way:

👉 BEFORE WAXING:
• Exfoliate 24 hours ahead to remove dead skin and help prevent ingrown hairs.
• Moisturize lightly the day before so skin is soft but avoid heavy lotions the day of your appointment.
• Skip retinol, acids, and scrubs for 48 hours prior to avoid irritation.
• Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds… freshly waxed skin + sun = sensitivity.

👉 DURING WAXING:
• Make sure skin is clean and dry (no oils or heavy creams).
• Communicate with your esthetician if you’re sensitive, let them know!
• A good pro will hold the skin taut and apply pressure after each pull to minimize discomfort.

👉 AFTER WAXING:
• No touching! Hands carry bacteria.
• Apply a soothing product like aloe, hydrocortisone cream (if needed), or a post-wax calming serum.
• Avoid hot showers, sweating, saunas, and tight clothing for 24 hours.
• Exfoliate 2–3 days later to keep the area smooth and prevent ingrowns.
• Moisturize daily to keep skin soft and reduce irritation.
