Fresh and customized first-time lip filler for our lovely Jade. This is immediately after hyaluronic acid filler. 1/2 syringe of Restylane Kysse. I have been seeing many posts on socials lately where the lips look like they have been in a fist fight or gone to war after filler. Everyone will have a different inflammatory response to the product and numbing cream, but the majority of my lip patients leave like this. Pretty, extra pink, swollen but not unsightly, and a little bruising. If you want to increase your chance of leaving with discreetly filled lips, don’t drink alcohol or take aspirin or motrin before your appointment. Avoid fish oils and other blood-thinning supplements. Start oral arnica and continue post-treatment. Invest in Alastin inhance to apply after injection. Some of my gals bruise and swell just looking at the needle and I definitely feel for them, but there is a good chance swelling will be tolerable.
