The cartoon opens with Elmer Fudd chasing Bugs Bunny into the backstage area of the Hollywood Bowl, where an audience is waiting to see a performance of The Barber of Seville. Bugs, the trickster, seizes the opportunity to fight on his terms by raising the curtain on Elmer, trapping him on stage in front of the audience. The orchestra begins to play Rossini’s famous overture, and the ensuing action is synchronized perfectly with the music.
