Sooo, there is a chance I'll be getting a T-Tube! (Montgomery tube)
This is the next step to getting rid of my tracheostomy!
Itll act like a stent to hold airway open and make scar tissue form in its shape and hopefully STOP the stenosis/narrowing of my airway.
He tested a smaller one on me today during my routine surgery of laser and dilation.
See it below. This is much smaller than mine will be, mine will be 18-20mm
And most likely longer. Then i have that for 6-12months and then its removed and we HOPE airway doesn't close up again....

This is happening probably in the next 2-3 months!
Ill need to stay in Dallas for 2-4 days depending how my recovery is. They want to monitor and make sure its positioned correctly as it will be extremely close to my vocal chords, and we dont want to risk damage there!
